02 Jul Magna IM – secure electrical contract with Camping & Caravanning Club
After an intricate tender process, Magna’s experience and credibility shone through and we secured the contract in January. Work was due to start in April but due to the Coronavirus lockdown this had to be postponed.
As lockdown restrictions have been lifted, we are now able to complete the works. Phase 1 involves just over 100 sites and the race is on to get as much completed before sites can re-open on 4th July.
Sites vary in size and in turn the amount of electrical facilities they have varies widely too. Not only will we be testing every electric hook up on each stand, we will also be testing their Ready Camps. Ready Camps are their Glamping facilities, so holiday makers just turn up and everything is set up for them. We will also carry out electrical testing in shower blocks, shops, takeaways and reception areas that the sites may have too.
Established in 1901, the Camping and Caravanning Club is the world’s oldest and largest club for all forms of camping. Their aim is to help people enjoy the simple pleasures that camping can bring. With over 700,000 members, they must be doing something right!
The Camping & Caravanning Club has over 100 campsites (Club Sites) set in some of the most picturesque locations. They also have many more that 1,400 certificated clubs across the UK and Northern Ireland.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the Camping and Caravanning Club invests every penny their customers spend with them back into improving their facilities.
